Today is James' 8th birthday.
Aubrey and Evan came with me to get birthday donuts.
James wanted to stay home, but Aubrey and Evan liked picking out their donuts.
We bought enough for all of us, the Ashcrafts, and the Ames.
Okay, time to get these kids off the screens and out having fun.
We are in our final week of Spring Break for the kids.
James picked rock climbing at Sender One for his birthday outing.
Aubrey's not quite big enough (plus there's a max of 3 kids per adult).
James is such a great, little climber.
Sender City, the open playground space, is such a great area for the kids to climb in.
There is so much variety in the types of things they can climb.
The cogs kept rotating, making this a particularly challenging station.
Taking a little break.
It's fun to watch the kids grow up and be able to do big things they couldn't before.
Once per session, they open up the big slide.
They wear these jumpsuits and remove their shoes.
They just let go once they reach the top.
Having some chicken nuggets back at home.
Then it was off to the Ashcrafts' for dinner and cake.
James is such a fun, happy kid.
Present time!
A build-it-yourself gyroscope toy.
James' birthday list consisted mostly of weapons. Ones for himself...
...and for Lego minifigures.
He got some Lego Minecraft sets.
And some Dog Man books.
Happy birthday, buddy!
Hanging out with Oakie.
