Expanding Into the Back Half

Well, Kendra and Kyle are now in Utah. It's been great having them live next door.

We wish them all the best and hope to see them come visit sometime.

Over here we've been hard at work taking over the back half of the duplex.

We bug-bombed and have been cleaning (mostly Jeni, as I've been busy at work).

It's looking nice in the back half.

We've also taken full advantage of the additional bedrooms.

Hailey somehow wormed her way into her own bedroom. We told her that she and Aubrey will be sharing a room, just as the boys are sharing, so enjoy having her own room while it lasts.

And here's the boys' room.

The front a back units remained separate for a few days before we could join the two together, so the kids had to go through the two front doors to get to/from their new rooms.

Then the exciting part of cutting a doorway in the wall: right there on the left wall.

Exploring what's behind the wall. That electrical line needs to be moved out of the way.

And now we have a direct path between the front and the back!

LEGO Star Wars

We got some new Lego Star Wars sets!

First, we tackled the Millennium Falcon.

Evan was so excited.

I've wanted the Millenium Falcon for some time but we never really had the room.

With Kendra and Kyle's family moving to Utah, we are expanding into the back and planning on a Lego room/library back there.

Plus, the kids are on Summer break, so it seemed like the right time to get this iconic Star Wars ship.

And it's just so cool.

But that's not all! We're also building the AT-AT.

Evan loves building Legos. He just can't let a new set go unbuilt.

Aubrey really liked the AT-AT. She calls it the big brother robot.

And Aubrey calls the AT-ST the little brother robot.
