Back to in-Person School

At long last we're back to school in person. It's been over a whole year of distance learning but we're now back in class for the final 7 weeks of the school year, at least for half the time each week.

Classes are split into 2 groups, or cohorts, and each takes their turn in class.

Hailey and Evan are assigned to Cohort B: in class 2 days this week (Thursday and Friday) and 3 days in class next week (Monday-Wednesday). And so they switch off for the next 7 weeks until Summer.

Beach Day with Friends

 

We met up with one of Hailey's friends and her family at the beach.

Nice to see some more people after so long at home from the Pandemic.

Heart Checkup

 

Today we took Aubrey to the cardiologist for a heart checkup.

She has a heart murmur from one of her valves that we want to keep an eye on.

She wasn't so sure about this once the checkup began so Mommy sat with her.

She did not like having the sensor pads stuck to her.

Aubrey had to keep still so the cardiologist could get the readings so it took a while.

Easter General Conference

Happy Easter!

Aubrey was up and eating chocolate bright and early this morning.

Easter breakfast before General Conference starts.

In between sessions we went over to Grandma's house to celebrate Easter.

And hang out with the puppies.

Easter baskets for the kids from the Gillian Easter Bunny.

So much good stuff!

Aubrey couldn't wait to start eating her delicious yogurt melts.

Treats, toys, and giant books.

Aw, she just wants to eat them so badly!

And Easter baskets for the adults too!

This giant coloring cloth is a great idea for the little ones.

And let the Easter egg hunt begin.

It's been so fun to have the Ames cousins around.

Aubrey wasn't quite sure what all the fuss was about with the egg hunt.

They all did a great job finding their eggs.
