The Ashcrafts gave us a resort stay for Christmas so this weekend we went away, just the two of us.
Here it is! Our room at the Lakehouse Hotel and Golf Resort in San Marcos.
First we wandered around to get the feel of the place.
There's the restaurant with a nice view of the lake.
And someone has a gondola.
Our stay includes an hour out on the lake with a kayak.
It was very nice and relaxing out on the water.
We saw geese and ducks and other fowl but only this one black swan.
If the kids were here they'd love throwing balls at this shooting gallery just inside the restaurant.

One night away from the kids and already we're feeling so relaxed.
