On our way back to the Gorge we found this scenic spot.
Nice view of the Columbia River.
First stop: Latourell Falls.
A short hike up shows this view of Latourell.
We decided to head up the trail to the top of the falls.
This is halfway up the trail. The top really doesn't show much.
We had one rule: stay on the trail. Of course when we go to the top of the waterfall Steve decided to climb over the railing to get a good look down. And the kids wanted to follow.
See that skinny tree on the slope to the left of the waterfall? That's where Steven went to see the waterfall. Dangerous!
Hiking in to Bridal Veil.
James fell asleep on our hike.
The waterfall is just around that boulder.
This was our favorite waterfall.
We loved the double drop off.
And, of course, the kids just wanted to climb on the rocks.
Just watching the fun.
Aw, buddies!
So nice down by the stream.
On the way back from the waterfall we saw the town of Corbett, complete with their own road sign for the Democrats (had to share this picture with my mom, who is a Corbett).
Saw this license plate holder. When you gotta go, you gotta go...
Visited Voodoo Doughnut. It was an experience.
Oh, and it was so HOT in downtown Portland. I think it was hotter here than back at home!
Voodoo Bubble, Glazed, Mango Tango, and McMinnville Cream.
Delicious! James wanted to take Daddy's all for himself.
