A Day at Oak Glen

Oak Glen has a 5 mile stretch of orchards, farms, restaurants and shops.

We sampled many varieties of apples and  fresh pressed apple cider.

Checking out the pumpkins at Los Rios Ranch.

Instead of calling Evan by his name Hailey now calls him her "buddy".

These two were not interested in taking a picture, but perked up when I spotted a snake.

It was a small snake and Evan just wanted to step on him... yep... step on the dancing snake.

Next we hit up the petting zoo.

Baby pigs.

Hailey got a real kick out of feeding the goats.

At one point she got cornered by the herd.

They wanted food. Hailey got head-butted. She took it personally and cried that they hurt her.

Evan on the other hand did not like the animals. Too scary.

He cried anytime they got close.

Look at his sad little face.

I felt so bad for him, I took him out.

Next we decided to hit the nature trails.

There was a creek and a lake that the kids ran around.

Snow Line Orchards is knows for their mini cider doughnuts. We wanted to try some but the line looked like in was a hour wait... so no, we didn't get any.

A small bag of Honeycrisp apples was $9; the large was $17.

Checking out the old water pump.

Doing the happy dance after he stole Hailey's hot dog.

We hit up quite a few different orchards, but still think that Riley's Farm is one of the nicest.

Having a lick of a giant jawbreaker.

Wandering through an orchard.

Trying on a lion hat in town.

Nay on the goats, but Evan acted like he hit the jackpot when he found a cat.

Unfortunately for Evan it was time to head home.
All in all, a great day!
